Recently while waiting for the hectic Rush Hour (or Two) to end so I could have clear(er) sailing home, I dropped in on this festive flatbread fare favorite amongst the skyscrapered denizens of Downtown Houston. Within minutes of placing my order, a line-up of hungry patrons streamed from the skybound filing cabinets above to try unique treats in this local mash-up.
My Gateway of India 8″ was a plateful of nontraditional perfection. Maybe the dough has no yeast, but it’s not naan or any other type I’ve liked or even tried before. The toppings were decently piled on, though not to the edge, but cooked well. They run specials during happy hour, from 3-7pm on weekdays, and deliver locally. There’s also a location in Sugarland.
